Here is brand new original music by Mark King and his high tech, fun band.
This song is another tribute to Lowell George and the unique Little Feat sound from the early 1970s.
I was lucky enough to see them on a very early tour as the opening act for Sly and the Family Stone. Sly stunk but Little Feat was amazing, changed my life. I went and bought "Sailing Shoes" the next day. Theo and Rob are both big fans of the Feat but they're younger and never got to see Lowell when he was alive.
I wrote the lyrics to this thinking about Lowell passing away so young. Definitely thought about what we might have heard from him if he had been able to shake the drugs and alcohol. We recorded several takes but this one nailed the groove (Theo nailed the conga part).
