ABOUT MARK KING RADIO

Turn the Mark King Radio ON and Turn it UP!

Welcome to the "Mark King Radio" site, thank you for taking a look and listen. We are not owned by corporations so No Cookies, No tracking, No advertising and No mean stuff, EVER!

Mark King Radio is broadcasting 24/7 from Beautiful Melbourne, Florida. We love having a good time and hanging out with all our friends here on our farm. You never know exactly what might show up here but it will probably be something cute.

We love creating fun, thought provoking videos and switching over to the live animals when something amazing is happening. The background music is pure Mark King Radio band, written and produced by the man himself.

MARK KING RADIO BAND

This web site is your connection point and the center of the universe for all things Mark King Radio. It's info about the music group, an access point to engage and listen to music, plus it's the jumping off point for our live stream; you can listen to it and watch it right now!

Never imagined I’d end up in a band like this one, an amazing crew of players making/mixing the best music I’ve ever been a part of. With the High on Technology Studio and this group of creatives, everything musical is possible, the best singers and musicians, massive sample libraries, hardware and software synthesizers, the best reverbs and ambience simulators, stacks of high end effect processor hardware, killer DrumWorkshop drums, vintage Zildjian cymbals (40+ years collecting them), amp and instrument modeling, piles of preamps, enough tube equipment to ruin any sound plus; the creativity of my favorite human, Mary King. Welcome to Mark King Radio!

UNDER THE HOOD

Mark King Radio (this web site) has SOUNDCLOUD under the hood serving up the music. Why does that matter? Because the service is reliable and the sound quality is virtually identical to the masters we upload (Mark has spent a lot of time comparing the original and the internet playback from SC).

We embed SoundCloud players in our web pages to provide consistent performance. Here is another plug for our No Advertsing Policy, it makes us happy that people from all over the world are finding our little station and checking us out.

Concerned about SoundCloud cookies? We recommend you go to the SoundCloud web site to learn more.

From virtually anywhere in the world (that your phone can connect) you can now access and listen to music (and watch funny videos) created by Mary and Mark King (we are real people not A.I.).

INDEX PAGE - Alphabetical list of songs and new PLAYLISTS PAGE, check it out!

HOME PAGE - Easy to use Sound Cloud music player format ;-)

Mary King (our resident I.T. specialist) is unstoppable, when she's not writing songs she is working on the 24/7 Mark King Radio station (which is actually full blown TV, we just call it radio -  confused? Check it out here).

Contact Mark here, you can send a message and you'll get a response, it might be a day or two depending on what part of the world you're in and what is going on here on our farm in Florida. This is the same contact email used for High on Technology. Have an inspired day!

WHAT'S UP WITH ALL THE RACCOON PIRATES? -  The Story of Ringo

One morning after we first moved to Florida, I noticed a small baby raccoon. I did not think much about him since we would usually see some raccoons every evening as they came through our back yard looking for treats. After a couple more mornings of seeing the little guy I saw that he was coming out of some old concrete blocks piled on our patio. His tail was deformed, it had one abnormally large BIG white ring near the tip so I named him "RingO". It seemed his mother abandoned the little guy on our patio while feeding here late one night, Ringo had taken up residence in the old concrete blocks (hoping his mom would come back for him). I could look in with a flashlight and seem him hiding in there. He lived with us, on our patio for over 3.5 years. In that time he slowly gained confidence and trust that we were not going to hurt him. Eventually he let me touch him (only a little) so I could feel that fur on his back, it's like a bristle brush. The only soft fur is on his belly. He showed me his claws and his teeth but never tried to hurt me. Raccoon claws are like sewing machine needles (so they can run up trees like it's nothing). Their teeth can easily bite through leather welding gloves but Ringo never tried to bite me.

As Ringo got older he began going off the patio (on walk-about), he would leave in the morning and we would not see him the rest of the day. At night I'd go out to feed the fish in our pond and check his block, there he was, tightly squeezed back into his little adopted home. He got even more adventurous and would be gone for a day or two, then a week. I felt sad to see him disappear but he was a wild animal and I was not trying to domesticate him. He was gone for a couple of weeks and then one day around noon I saw him out back, near the edge of the patio looking around but something was wrong, he was not right. I took him a treat but he acted like he did not know me and ignored my offering, he looked sick and ultra low energy. He wandered off slowly towards the Eastern edge of our property and I never saw him again, it was as if he had come to say goodbye. I'm sad he is gone but thankful for the experience and joy he brought Mary and I. It seemed only right that we would honor him so we adopted him as the representative of our "Pirate Radio Station" (aka Mark King Radio).

Here is our tribute to our little friend who is now immortalized forever as the mascot of Pirate Radio! Ringo lives on in our hearts!

EVERYTHING ELSE

MARY AND I SHARE A WONDERFUL LITTLE FARM IN FLORIDA, MEET THE CHICKENS:

Meet Fluffy, 3-week old white Silkie hen

We have adopted 120+ wonderful fluffy feathered friends, it's the chickens. Mostly bantams because they're so cute (and littler birds make less poo). While we share a special love for white silkie chickens, we care deeply for every one of our little bird friends (especially the roosters :-).

We REALLY do need all these chickens!

CREATING MUSIC IS MY HAPPY PLACE

I am thankful for every day that I get to enjoy with my favorite human (Mary), in this wonderful creative place we're living in :-)

These days, while I'm in the studio making music with the band Mary is busy painting (and directing us). Every day, people of eBay and Etsy (from all over the world) order her little paintings, she has sold 10's of thousands because the paintings are little vessels of her incredible spirit and people love them. You can visit her web site for a tiny taste of her miniature work. www.marykingpaintings.com

My wish for everyone, Good Music To You!
