WHAT IS MARK KING RADIO?
by Mark King
First of all, it is my sincere hope that all this music and discussion about equipment (over on High on Technology), will be an inspiration to some creative mind that just needs a nudge. Real creativity is fragile, if you're lucky enough to have a creative spirit, protect it, treasure it, and use it. What did you make today?
There are countless audio forums on the internet, filled with experts who blather endlessly about why their gear and techniques are the best but, did you ever notice how few actually post any music or examples of what they're jabbering about? I don't want High on Technology to be that way, I want you to hear some of the things I discovered on my journey through a lifetime of playing with gear, music and sound.
I am honored if you take the time to check out any of my music creations. Through the Spotlight on Music series on High on Technology I'll be directly referencing the gear used in specific songs and any helpful discoveries that occured along the way. HERE is a link to the first story from the Spotlight on Music series. In addition I'll be able to reference specific tunes that utilize specific pieces of gear.
Back in 1994 -- and for many years after -- I coded my web pages individually by myself. These days, if I was doing that I'd never get anything done. My favorite human (Mary) introduced me to the blog format back in 2009, I resisted it and fought to defend the old way but Mobile brought me to my knees - it was too much to tweak everything for the internet on computers and phones, plus checking performance on Android, iPhone, Mac and Windows. I finally understood her reasoning and moved High on Technology to Blogger. This framework lets me get on with CREATING, which is my real passion.
The blog format was not really created for hosting music so it's been a bit of a puzzle to format everything so it works logically, easily and simply, across the desktop and mobile platforms.
A big positive about the Blog is that every piece of music gets its own Page URL. This has made it easy for me to communicate with other musicians I work with, like my studio drummer friend in Texas, it is now easy to point him at a specific tune.
Another big benefit is that people, all over the world, can now access and listen to the music.
If you're curious to give a listen, then the INDEX page is where you want to be. The songs are listed in alphabetical order with brief descriptions to help you find something you'd like.
In the future I will be creating more playlists for long, commercial-free, highway drives.
Contact me here, you can send a message and you'll get a response, it might be a day or two depending on what part of the world you're in and what is going on here on our farm in Florida. This is the same contact email used for High on Technology. Have an inspired day!

MARY AND I SHARE A WONDERFUL LITTLE FARM IN FLORIDA, MEET THE CHICKENS:

| Meet Fluffy, 3-week old white Silkie hen |
We have adopted 120+ wonderful fluffy feathered friends, it's the chickens. Mostly bantams because they're so cute (and littler birds make less poo). While we share a special love for white silkie chickens, we care deeply for every one of our little bird friends (even the roosters :-).
We REALLY do need all these chickens!
CREATING MUSIC IS MY HAPPY PLACE
I am thankful for every day that I get to enjoy with my favorite human (Mary), in this wonderful creative place we're living in :-)
These days, while I'm making music Mary is busy painting. Every day, people of eBay and Etsy (from all over the world) order her little paintings, she has sold 10's of thousands. You can visit her web site for a tiny taste of her miniature work. www.marykingpaintings.com
My wish for everyone, Good Music To You!
